So long…. and thanks for all the fireworks and fun

So… We have decided to wrap up Knights of Fire and call it a day from the end of 2016.   It has been great fun, working with some fantastic people and a great crew of John, Kevin, Mark, and Mark 2.   We’ve done some great displays – check out some examples of our work here – and are very proud of what we have achieved on the industry stage.

We are not disappearing.  All of us are available for crewing, particularly during that period of November when no one seems to have enough people….  Just contact us on the numbers or emails opposite.   We are experienced and very thorough.  Our approach has always been to get the planning and prep right – that way on the day of the display you can focus on getting the show done and dealing with the unexpected.

If you are thinking of having your own display then we are also very happy to provide informal advice to school PTAs, social clubs and others.  We have a lot of experience which we can share.

Have a great time.  Stay safe.

Great video from West Wickham Fireworks!

After a bit of blood, sweat and tears – and software updates – we have the video from the display at Club Langley for the West Wickham Rotary Club.   A great show featuring tracks by Muse, Ellie King, Adele, David Bowie, and finishing with Prince’s “Purple Rain”.  There was great feedback from the crowd, they really loved it with one person saying: “It was a fantastic display and so well choreographed to the music.”  Enjoy.

Photos from St David’s College Fireworks!

On 12 November we were out for St David’s College – their 90th anniversary year and a school we have a very long relationship with – including a lot of the crew attending the school themselves when they were not much taller than a grasshopper. Here are the photos courtesy of Kevin Sealy.   It was a bit of a damp and smokey night – there was no wind  – but the show more than up to its usual “shock and awesome” heritage.

Out in the fields of Club Langley on 5 November….

…. it was decidedly chilly out there yesterday while setting up and getting ready to go for the 22nd West Wickham Rotary Club annual fireworks display.   But the sun came out (briefly) and unlike previous years it DID NOT RAIN!  Hooray.    Had a fantastic and hugely appreciative crowd for the show which comprised tracks from Muze, Ellie King, Adele, David Bowie, and Prince.   Comments we overheard included: “very creative”, “great show”, and “amazing”.   Some photos below courtesy of Kevin Sealy.   Video to follow and we are at St David’s College this coming Saturday.

Great night in Rottingdean….. and at Club Langley this Saturday

Had a great night last night doing a display for The Friends of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Primary School down in Rottingdean.  Everyone had a fun evening and it was a new experience for us, firing from the grounds of a convent.   There were some great firework-themed goodies on sale as well.   Some photos from the set up (and the goodies)  below and we are hoping someone took some shots of the display…..    Out at Club Langley tomorrow for the West Wickham Rotary Club.   Raining today but fingers and toes crossed for the 5th!

Counting down to November!

So, the shows are nearly designed and fully prepped for the November fireworks season and we are really looking forward to seeing everyone for a series of spectacular firework displays.

We start on 3 November at The Friends of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Primary School down in Rottingdean followed on 5 November by West Wickham Rotary Club at Club Langley in West Wickham and finishing off with St David’s College, also in West Wickham, on 12 November.  We are also out and about helping on various other displays as well so may see you there.

Priory Live 2016….. was awesome!

Had a great night at Priory Live in Orpington last weekend.   The weather was great, the crew behaved themselves and some top quality music.  We closed out the festival with live fireworks to the closing act, Feral Ghost, splitting the display across their final two tracks.  You can see some of the set-up shots on our Facebook page.

Full video below – including drone footage showing just how high some of those candles and shells actually go!  You can also see a nifty piece of slomo footage from inside the display here.
