We are really pleased to say that we have been appointed for the first time to handle the annual Guy Fawkes fireworks display for the Caterham Round Table at Caterham Dene. The display is on Saturday 2 November and, together with the hugely popular torchlight procession starting at Caterham-on-the-Hill Library, is one of the highlights of the year in Caterham.
Gates open at 6.30pm. Once there the crowd will be entertained with music and kiddies funfair. Whilst waiting for the fire to be lit, (look out for the themed lighting) you can get yourself a burger or a sausage in a bun, and once again there’ll be mulled wine to drive away any chills.
The Caterham Round Table use the firework display as one of several events in the district to raise money for good causes. This year as well as supporting the scouts and the Dene hospital any money raised will be used to fund local groups. Posters will be out and tickets will be on sale at a number of shops and locations. Discounts for early booking and young children are free.
According to Caterham Fireworks officer and previous chairman, Pete Dommett this year the focus will be on the display, more oohs and aahs for the family to enjoy.
