After a bit of blood, sweat and tears – and software updates – we have the video from the display at Club Langley for the West Wickham Rotary Club. A great show featuring tracks by Muse, Ellie King, Adele, David Bowie, and finishing with Prince’s “Purple Rain”. There was great feedback from the crowd, they really loved it with one person saying: “It was a fantastic display and so well choreographed to the music.” Enjoy.
So, the shows are nearly designed and fully prepped for the November fireworks season and we are really looking forward to seeing everyone for a series of spectacular firework displays.
We start on 3 November at The Friends of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Primary School down in Rottingdean followed on 5 November by West Wickham Rotary Club at Club Langley in West Wickham and finishing off with St David’s College, also in West Wickham, on 12 November. We are also out and about helping on various other displays as well so may see you there.
So. It took a little while to get done, but here we have it. The video footage from the 2015 display at Langley Park School for Girls on behalf of the Rotary Club of West Wickham and the school’s PTA. You can see more about the display here and here.
Some great footage from the camera at the front of the display as well as some drone footage interwoven in. Many thanks to Steve Sangster for the drone shots – you can see more of his work on Twitter @.
Enjoy the video!
So… just gearing up for the November season. Our first show is out at St David’s College in West Wickham on Sunday 1 November. This is a long-standing private display for the school’s PTA and one with special significance for us as the Knights of Fire team are either are Old Davidians or have had children at the school.
In different ways we have had a link to the school for the last 50 years and 40 years helping with or organising their annual fireworks display.
You’ll have seen the various stories we’ve put up here and a vast number of photos and videos on our Facebook page and Twitter feed but we thought it would be great to pull it all together into one place.
We took part last Saturday in the Firework Champions event at Newby Hall. One of five similar events taking place across the midlands and north of England this summer. We were competing against two other companies – Illusion Fireworks and Flashpoint Fireworks. Illusion just squeaked it ahead of us by a handful of votes so we were very pleased with the result. A win would have been better but that’s life. Just wait until the next time…
We have some amazing photos and videos.
A full video of the display can be seen here
There were other videos shot, which you can see here (which includes some nice drone-filmed views of the display) and here. And for the really keen, here is Nick’s pre-display interview and the promotional video for the Newby Hall 2015 competition. Enjoy!
We’ve also got some amazing photos which can be seen below and here thanks to Cris Matthews at Pyro Productions.
Thanks to everyone for all their support, particularly the guys and girls at Firework Crazy, The Fireworkers and Firework Empire for working with us, and to Pendragon Fireworks for the loan of some kit. Particular thanks to Mike Knox at Evolved Pyrotechnics for letting us showcase his new firing system and to Mat Lawrence at MLE Pyrotechnics for organising the event. It was a great day out. The weather held out for us and all the displays were awesome.
